Tourism Noosa launches innovative training tool

31 May 2013

Sunshine Coast Brochure Display was honoured to be among the  invited guests when Tourism Noosa  launched Welcome to Noosa on May 29th at the Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa. Celebrity chef Pete Evans, pictured with the Tourism Noosa Team, was the special guest at the launch lunch  and following  networking night. Also in attendance were Tourism and Events Queensland chairman Stephen Gregg, member for Noosa The Hon. Glen Elmes, Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson and Councillors Russell Green and Tony Wellington.

Welcome  To Noosa is an Australian first of its kind for the tourism industry. It is an innovative professional development program with Noosa-specific content to help all business owners and employees  provide  customer service at a level which not only meets, but exceeds, the expectations of visitors to our region. Welcome To Noosa  covers topics such as history of the area,  special things about the area, key Noosa activities, villages which make up the area, customer / visitor demographics, customer service strategies and workplace health and safety.

With the tourism spend currently contributing more than $850 million dollars to the Noosa regions' economy, Tourism Noosa's goal is to build on this by further developing  Noosa's reputation for top level customer service and encouraging visitors to return again and again.

The May 29th launch was the culmination of many months of dedicated effort from the Tourism Noosa team. We congratulate them, in particular Industry Liaison Manager Juanita Bloomfield who has been at the forefront of the Welcome To Noosa initiative.
